Impeachment of a President:
Free speech vs. constitution
On this day, as I sit here watching the impeachment trail the question is raised about free speech and what you can say and what you can’t. He broke his oath on January 6th, when he incited the crowd to storm the capitol. As a horrified nation watched in disbelief, we started asking what has happened to America.
A speech that led many to storm the capitol, from words that he incited. Freedom of speech does not give one the right to bully, harass, or to conduct false statements against someone or something. A person’s words can be harmful not only to someone but to a country.
Donald J. Trump, has become the first President in history to be impeached not one but twice. He has on more than one occasion has abused his power, creating havoc to the country. Never have I ever seen anything that ever has had so much evil and hate erupt in our country. Our country has become so divided, and it reminds me of a song, “United We Stand, Divided We Fall,”
“There won’t be a transfer of power, there will be a continuation,” he said. All that matter to him was inciting his base. Any thing that you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. Remember what you say and do will come back haunt you and be used against you. Free Speech does not entitle you to spread vicious and false statements.
Donald Trump, made his followers, feel like the election was stolen, and he had a plan to try to stay in office, he wanted to be in control so bad that he would do what ever it took to stay in power.
Lies can come back to bite you in the butt, it is important to remember that anything that you say can and will be used against you in a court of law or at a Senate trail. He continued to incite his base his constant tweets , he gave in grave detail.
The evidence between presented in just the open arguments to show that Trump incited the riot is overwhelming. However, you must remember that this is coming from a man who is full of rage, and a Narcissist behavior. The evidence that was given was filled with truth, facts and showed how he brainwashed his supporters.
What you saw is a man who refused to lose, a man who thought that the rules did not apply to him. He ordered his base to fight, and overturn the election results. He continue to tweet, and inciting his base to get them to overturn the election. He made his base believe that the election was stolen, and even his son made them continue the lie.
The preponderance of evidence that they have so far presented against Trump, in proving that he incited the crowd. The words that he said, and tweeted are being used against him.
