Hollywood Christmas Parade
Back after 1-year Roll out the Red-Carpet
The pandemic put isolated us for nearly two years and we as a country and the world are starting to get back to a more normal life. On Sunday, November 26, 2021 the 89th annual Christmas Parade will be held starting at 6pm.
Now the Christmas Parade was originally started to showcase by the Hollywood merchants in 1928 to boost shopping along a one-mile stretch. It was originally known as Santa Claus Lane Parade, the inaugural event featured only Santa Claus and the actress Jeanette Loff.
The parade went on hiatus in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic; this was the first cancellation in 76 years. Prior to the pandemic, cancellation of the 2020 parade was last suspended from 1942 to 1944 due to World War II and reopened in 1945 with record attendance.
However, one thing that will not be held this year is the the concert that is held prior to the start of the parade this year.
