The Hollywood Walk of Fame stretches between Sunset to Yucca on Vine Street, and Hollywood Blvd to Gower St. The history of Hollywood is locked deep within these streets, a mystery to unravel.

Earle Williams was a silent film star, which his star can be found at 1560 Vine Street, He was born on February 8, 1880 in Sacramento, California, he died in 1927 from Bronchial Pneuomnia. Williams was an actor, writer and director during the silent film era of Hollywood. Williams received his star on February 8, 1960 and is located at 1560 Vine Street at the corner of Vine and Yucca.

Before Williams ever began to act he worked in a bicycle shop, and competed as a bicycle racer, he also served as a newspaper photographer for the Oakland Tribune. He moved to Oakland with his family when he was six, and he later attended the Polytechnic College of California.

Williams career began in stage after performing bit parts in the Oakland theatres, he began professional acting in earnest in 1901 with the Baldwin-Melville Stock Company in New Orleans, and from there to act in the Alcazaar Theater’s stock company in San Francisco and with a touring company in Canada and the United States.
