January 20, 2021 at 12:01pm is a new day in American History a day filled with a lot of firsts, a new day a new beginning. On this inauguration day we swear in the as the 46th President, Joseph R. Biden, and Kamela Harris will be sworn in as the Vice-President.

It has been a year since the pandemic ravaged America, and the world. In the year of 2021 America is getting the first female Vice-President, who is both of African American and Asian American to hold the office. History is changing for the better, in more ways than one.

The year of 2021, started out pretty much the way 2020 ended, however today is the day that it will help our nation start to heal it will take time, but America will once again become united and start to fix what is still wrong with America.

On this day it is hard to believe that the events of the insurrection and seditious of trying to take over the government on January 6, 2021. A day that showed us how much division and hatred still exists in America. Looking back over the years, you can’t help but wonder what some of the activists would say and what type of songs they would write and sing. The song that stand out most in my mind, is imagine by John Lennon.

Today, is a day that history will be written and remember for the good, the bad and the ugly. We will never forget the lives lost in the pandemic, the division in America and the insurrection and seditious attempts to overtake the government. For the first time in 152 years an out going president did not attend the inauguration of an incoming President. In 1869 Andrew Johnson skipped the inauguration of Ulysses S. Grant.

As snowed filled the air of the 2021 inauguration ceremony, it gave a promise of new hope for bringing out country back together. The last four years will be known as a time our country became divided, but 2021 a time that a nation will start to heal not only from a pandemic, but from the hatred which has divided our country for the last four years. It will be a time when the world came together to help us heal gives us the strength that we need to move on and carry on our forefathers dream of liberty and freedom.

Vice President Elect Kamala Harris became Vice President at 11:42 am ET, followed by a beautiful rendition of This Land is Your Land and America the Beautiful, by Jennifer Lopez.

Joseph R. Biden took his oath of office to become the 46th President of the United States of America. “Today is America’s day a day of new hope for democracy…” The speech he gave for to unite the soul of our country a call for unity. a time for all states to come together as one, no Red States or Blues States but a United states.

Today is the day our democracy was saved a freedom will live on and we will continue on working on and getting rid of the hatred, and bringing love to a now divided nation. We are all one nation under God, and we will continue every day to work o this each and every day. The times they are a changing and we will learn to stay united and never again be divided as a nation.

Today is our future, we will learn from the past in order to be one strong nation. We know we still have a lot of to do, and we will continue to grow as a nation, our ancestors left us. We are strong, and we will learn that the times are changing not for the worst but for the better. We learn from our past, and build on the future of our hopes and dreams.
